Our mission
Become the leading authority of physical optimization of the BJJ practitioner.
Our core values
How?
By providing strength and conditioning coaching tailored to the needs of the individual Jiu Jitsu practitioner and athlete, in the form of in person training or digitally delivered training plans supported by videos and video calls, as well as providing articles, products, tips and advice via BJJStrength.com and it's various social media channels.
Why?
BJJstrength.com is the brain child of Laurence Griffiths as after training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for several years he became frustrated with the lack of strength and conditioning resources focused specifically for the Jiu Jitsu athlete, how much bad information was out there and the fact that there was not one place where someone practicing Jiu Jitsu can get all their strength and conditioning questions answered. BJJstrength.com is his attempt to give the Jiu Jitsu practitioner and athlete effective strength training programs, advice and content that will complement rather than hinder their progress in the sport.

Our core values
- Research driven - we base our work on research and results. Either research done by others or results we have seen from our own clients that provides evidence a method works.
- Many paths - we accept that there are many ways to reach the same goal in strength & conditioning, that our methods are not they only way and that we can always learn from other ways of doing things.
- Continuous improvement - we strive for continuous improvement in everything we do. No detail is too small as consistent small changes add up very quickly to make a significant difference.
- Longevity & function - we aim to build Jiu Jitsu practitioners and athletes into better functioning humans, keeping them working on and off the mat for as long as possible, favouring longevity over short term performance.
